School

School I find is now becoming a waste of young children's time. This list will explain my reasoning.
  • Teachers keep teaching the same exact things year after year. (At least the 1st quarter in Math and Language Arts)
  • Students aren't getting challenged enough. (I was definitely one of those students. In math, I'd just sit there in my seat and doodle-yes, doodle-on my folder because I was one of the people who learned more quickly, I guess. So I sat there doodling while the teacher had to keep reteaching the things to the other students. So I found math that year, a total waste of my time. And I already knew like half of it.)
  • Annual state testing is completing stupid. They give students the test in the middle of the 3rd quarter! There's still a whole quarter's worth of things to teach! And the things they teach you are things that will supposedly prepare you for the next year. Who's going to remember all that stuff over summer vacation? I know I didn't. (If an excuse for giving the tests in the 3rd quarter is that they need time to grade them or whatever it is that they do, why don't you get more people or machines? Ask the government for some machines! And if people (yes, we are called the carbon-based lifeforms) are also needed, you're going to give people jobs for cryin' out loud!) So my point is that the 4th quarter of the school year is a complete waste of teachers' and students' time.

Alright, so you see my point. If you're a parent out there, ask your child if they think the 4th quarter of their school year is a waste of their precious time!
